New Snagit Stamps, Which Style Won?

Last week we held a vote on which Snagit Stamp Style we should include in SuperStamps v2 (due to be released on May 11th).

In just a few hours we had 250 votes and when we closed the voting more than 300 people had picked their favorites.

In this video I’m presenting the Stamps that got the most votes.

I am also showing some very neat tricks on how you can utilize Snagit Stamps effectively.

Vote on Your Favorite Snagit Stamp Style

We are just a couple of weeks away from finishing our SuperStamps version 2. A lot of work has gone into this Snagit add-on and I am really proud of all the new great looking stamps.

A minute of your time

Now I just need a minute of your time to shape the last series of stamps. If you can take a moment and just let me know which style of Stamp you prefer and we’ll make a whole series of useful stamps in the same style as the alternative that gets the largest number of votes.

We are going to take a lot of useful Icons and create a whole series of very nice looking stamps that you can use directly from inside Snagit.

I need your brilliant input…

Stamp your footprint. Help me build the next SuperStamps (Snagit Stamps add-on)!

I’m creating a new SuperStamps Snagit Stamps add-on package. It will include as many professional graphics as the original SuperStamps (197 high grade vector png files). The contents is focused on being suitable for blogs/websites and it will appropriately be named SuperStamps Blogs

So I am calling all bloggers and website masters out there for help building this graphics pack. You will be the co-creator so to speak

I need your help with suggestions of what graphic icons should be included. What graphics do you need for your blog?

We will give out a free copy of SuperStamps Blogs for every suggestion that’s included in SuperStamps Blogs.

To the left you can see some examples of what’s included in the original SuperStamps Pack. You can also download 20 free SuperStamps here.

Please post your suggestions Graphic Icon suggestion in the comment area on this blog (below). And include:

1) What Text or Icon would you like
2) What color
3) What shape should the graphic/icon have
4) Anything else that may clarify your idea

It should be stamps that is useful for everyone. I can’t include personal stamps for example with names and so on, unless your name is Blog Of course you don’t need to have a blog or website to suggest cool stamps.

Download and Use Superstamps in Snagit

Hello Snagit Fans,

If you are a real Snagit Fan am sure you already own the new Superstamps add-on. If you don’t own it yet its not too late to enjoy the full potential of Snagit you can get a copy of the new Superstamps here.

Already own Superstamps 197 collection but not sure how to use it with your Snagit application?

Follow the simple step by step instructions below:

Step 1

Download and Install your Snagit.

Step 2

Download the Superstamps.

Superstamps does not need installation, you can just lift it into the stamp folder. As you have no outside directory for your stamps you could place it in the Snagit 9 folder located:

C:\Program Files\TechSmith\SnagIt 9\Stamps

You do this by just clicking on the folder and dragging it into the folder above.

Step 3

Open your Snagit Editor and from your “Draw Tab” click on the stamp icon to view stamp samples. Click the down arrow, to view existing stamps from the style box, . This will show all available images and categories.

*This box automatically pops up after clicking the down arrow*

Step 4:

Click on “Organize Stamps” a box will pop up providing you additional options.

*To add the Superstamps folder simply click on the “Stamp folder” button to start browsing your unzipped folder of superstamps on your computer.*

Step 5:

Select the unzipped folder of Superstamps from your computer by double clicking it. After the folder has been successfully added click close to finish.

Voila! It’s done.

Get your Free Superstamps mini pack here and follow the same steps when adding it to your collection. If you like it, go on and get the full version with 197 new professional superstamps none of which are included in the minipack!

Free Snagit Stamps and Icons

If you are like me — a lover of Snagit and other graphics software alike, you always enjoy getting your hands on nice graphic elements that you can use to enhance your screen captures, perhaps make your reports nicer, more professional and so on.

So I thought I’d share some nice free/low cost graphic resources that you can use as Snagit Stamps…

Snagit Stamps Collection

The first stop should of course be TechSmith’s Stamp collection. All stamps are free to download and use with SnagIt. Among my favorites you find the “stamp” stamps. A collection of words as a stamp (see image) and the Smiley’s.

Silk Icons

If you spend a lot of time online you have probably seen Silk Icons practically every day. These wonderful little icons are used both online, in reports and in software applications. The silk icon collection is over 700 16×16 pixel icons, many ideal for websites and software.

StorTroopers

My sister never let me play with her dolls, I guess that’s why I just love these little guys.

You can go to Stortroopers and create your own, dress him and everything. When you’re done, save him to your Snagit Stamps folder and voila, you have a little stortrooper stamp.

Snagit SuperStamps Collection

As you may have guessed I really use the Snagit Stamps alot so I finally decided to put together a Stamp collection of my own – SuperStamps. Unlike the other resources in the blog post, SuperStamps isn’t free, but I feel they are well worth the $19.95. SuperStamps includes 197 high quality professional stamps in .png format. This means that you can enlarge or shrink them without loosing any quality. They are quite large 256×256 pixels.

You can easily use Snagit and SuperStamps to create an image like this.

I just took one Superstamp, shrunk it to about half the size, copied it into a shadow and did the shadow transparent. Voila, a few seconds later you have a professional graphic image that you can use in a report or perhaps in a blog post.
